Hill had screws from his first procedure removed during the operation, which had been planned from the start, a source told ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques.
The 31-year-old was slated to be sidelined for most of the offseason after having an initial surgery to repair ligament damage in his wrist earlier this year.
Hill played through the injury during the 2024 campaign, catching 81 es for 959 yards and six touchdowns. He briefly hinted at leaving Miami after their middling 8-9 season before walking it back and attributing it to frustration.
The eight-time Pro Bowl receiver has two more years under contract.
