Boston Celtics wing Jaylen Brown finished the season with a partially torn right meniscus, sources told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne. 2h4iq
Brown played through the injury during the last month of the regular season through to the Celtics' playoff elimination Friday.
He will be evaluated this week to determine if surgery is needed, Shelburne adds.
Brown had reportedly been receiving pain injections in his knee since March. He missed the Celtics' final three regular-season games due to the injury.
The 28-year-old played in all 11 of the Celtics' postseason contests. He averaged 22.3 points and 7.2 rebounds in 34 minutes per game.
Boston lost star Jayson Tatum in Game 4 against the New York Knicks due to a ruptured Achilles, while center Kristaps Porzingis battled a lingering illness.
